Tumblr people I am going to New York/New Jersey advise me

So yeah this Sunday I am going to New Jersey (Edison/Woodbridge to be precise) for work. I will be there for 2 weeks so Will have time to get up to NYC. Any advice on where to go and what to do? Records shops, eats, tourist stuff, shows, sports, anything at all, please let me know your thoughts.
